CONSTAN-[TIN]OPOLIS [CONSTANTINOPOLIS]; bust l., laur. helmet, wearing imperial cloak, reversed spear.

REVERSE

Victory stg. l. on prow, holding long sceptre in r. hand and resting l. hand on shield. Chi-rho in left field. PCON in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to ARLES 401 (or ARLES 386) except for PCON in exergue instead of PCONST (similar to m.m. on RIC VIII ARLES 32-50). Not listed in Ferrando. Could be regarded as an engraver's error or as an ancient imitation.
