(or what is this web site about)

RIC is the abbreviation for The Roman Imperial Coinage, still the basic reference in the field of Roman numismatics. The purpose of this site is to bring a fully illustrated information about coins not listed in the volumes VI & VII of RIC (Addenda) and about errors in these volumes (Corrigenda).

Note that you should be familiar with RIC before starting to use this tool. The section HOW TO USE could help only a little. Novices may try some LINKS instead. FORVM ANCIENT COINS would be a good first choice.

If you believe that you can contribute to this project, please read the section HOW TO HELP.

You can also browse the list of NEW ENTRIES (last three months).

Comments, opinions and corrections are more than welcome.
