CONSTANTI-NVSMAXAVG [CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG]; bust r., rosette-diadem, dr., cuir.

REVERSE

GLOR-IAEXERC-ITVS [GLORIA EXERCITVS]; two soldiers, helmeted, stg. front, looking at each other; each holding spear and rests hand on shield; between them two standards. TR in exergue.

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to TRIER 518 (which is probably an ancient imitation; see CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 214) except for absence of officina letter in m.m. Note that TR at that time is a proper m.m. on gold pieces from Trier.
