IOVICONSER-VATORIA-VG [IOVI CONSERVATORI AVG]; eagle stg. on wave line, l. wing pointing downward, carrying Emperor, stg. l., thunderbolt in r. hand, sceptre across l. shoulder. STR in exergue.

UNLISTED OFFICINA S AND BUST VARIETY. Specimen similar to TRIER 211 except for spear across l. shoulder on the obv. instead of sceptre. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 182. Note that also on obv. Emperor is holding thunderbolt in r. hand, not mappa.
