RIC VII, TRIER [after 322], CRISPUS, UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND [IRREGULAR COIN]

OBVERSE

DNCRISPVS-NOBCAES [D N CRISPVS NOB CAES]; bust r., laur., cuir. with spear pointing forward, shield on l. arm.

REVERSE

EATATRAN-QVILLITAS [EATA (sic!) TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX; above, three stars. PTR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. Not attested for this issue (p. 191-192). Specimen similar to TRIER 349 except for m.m. without dot. Good style but note error in rev. legend: EATA instead of BEATA and partially clumsy lettering (small "O" in VOTIS). Possibly an ancient imitation. Could be noted after TRIER 322.

NOTES

Weight 2.85 g; diameter 18.5 mm. From the Demant-Nielsen Collection (established 1970).
