NOT IN RIC
|
UNLISTED BUST TYPE - C3 l. var. Not attested in RIC VII. Listed in RMBT (p. 64, no. 21; this coin). Description of bust after RMBT and could be disputable. In RIC this type is usually described as draped and cuirassed (C3 l.). Cf. LONDON 198 with C3 l. bust type (note, however, that Cloke-Toone also described this bust as mantled). Note also that this type may be regarded as an ancient imitation. Could be noted in RIC before TRIER 315.
