RIC VII, TRIER [after 270], CRISPUS, UNLISTED BUST TYPE [IRREGULAR COIN]

OBVERSE	CRIS[PV]SNOB-C[A]ES [CRISPVS NOB CAES]; bust l., high-crested helmet, spear pointing forward, shield on l. arm.
REVERSE	VIRTV-S-E-[X]E[R]CIT [VIRTVS EXERCIT]; standard inscribed VOT/XX with captive std. on ground on either side. STR in exergue.
NOT IN RIC	UNLISTED BUST TYPE. Not attested in RIC VII. Similar to busts H4 or H8 except for high-crested helmet. Also similar to bust H12 except for spear pointing forward instead of spear across shoulder. Probably an ancient imitation. Should be listed after TRIER 270.
