MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to TICINUM 167 except for crescent in exergue instead of crescent in middle field. For the irregular m.m. see footnote 167 on p. 381: "In CoH [Cologne Hoard] also irregular m.m. [crescent]/*PT". Note also double "T" in obv. legend: CONSTTANTINVS (apparently result of double strike). Possibly an engraver's error. Good style but coin may be regarded as an ancient imitation.
