CONSTTAN-TINVSAVG [CONSTTANTINVS (sic!) AVG]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

DNCONSTANTINIMAXAVG [D N CONSTANTINI MAX AVG]; laurel wreath enclosing VOT/XX. ST crescent in exergue.

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to TICINUM 167 except for crescent in exergue instead of crescent in middle field. For the irregular m.m. see footnote 167 on p. 381: "In CoH [Cologne Hoard] also irregular m.m. [crescent]/*PT". Note also double "T" in obv. legend: CONSTTANTINVS (apparently result of double strike). Possibly an engraver's error. Good style but coin may be regarded as an ancient imitation.
