MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to ROME 332 except for RFV in exergue instead of RFЄ.

Vincent Drost comments this variety as follows: "A 5th offcina was opened in Rome in 330. It is usually indicated with the Greek letter Є. Here, the use of the Latin numeral V suggests initial uncertainty on how to signify the new offcina (Vincent Drost, "The Seaton Down hoard (UK, Devon): c. 22,900 Constantinian nummi", XV International Numismatic Congress Taormina 2015. Proceedings, ed. Maria Caccamo Caltabiano, Roma - Messina 2017, p. 740, n. 15).

Note that this initial uncertainty is probably also responsible for two other varieties with dots (listed in RIC) which appeared exclusively in this issue: ROME 333 (eBay 2013, 2.53 g, 18 mm) and ROME 334 (Gormy & Mosch 259, lot 3961; 2.56 g).
