RIC VII, ROME 261, CONSTANTINE I, REVERSE VARIETY
OBVERSE
IMPCONSTAN-TINVSPFAVG [IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG]; bust r., laur., dr., cuir.
REVERSE
VICTORIACONSTANTINIAVG [VICTORIA CONSTANTINI AVG]; Victory std. r. on cuir., shield, inscribing VOT/XX/FEL on shield.
NOT IN RIC
REVERSE VARIETY. Similar to ROME 261 (Ars Classica Naville XI, lot 999, 36.24 g, 37 mm; cited in RIC) except for VOT/XX/FEL on shield on rev. instead of VOT/XX/CES. Listed in Gnecchi II (p. 135, no. 18 and plate 131, no. 1; but the inscription on shield illegible). Gnecchi lists also the second specimen of this type (not illustrated) and gives inscription as "VOT X"; but notes that it was tooled ("La leggenda sullo scudo e VOT X; ma e ritoccata".
Specimen cited in RIC (from different rev. die) could be also tooled, so it is possible that only variety with FEL on shield exists.
