RIC VII, ROME [after 266], CRISPUS, UNLISTED BUST TYPE [B5], OVERSTRUCK [IRREGULAR COIN]

OBVERSE	FLIVLCRISPV[SNOBCAES] [FL IVL CRISPVS NOB CAES]; bust r., laur., cuir. [B5].
REVERSE	PROVIDEN-TIAECAESS [PROVIDENTIAE CAESS]; camp gate, two turrets, no doors, star above; varying number of stone layers; dot in arch. RS in exergue.
NOT IN RIC	UNLISTED BUST TYPE - B5, OVERSTRUCK. Not attested for this issue (p. 325). Crude style and lettering, so apparently an ancient imitation. Note also that this coin was overstruck on old radiate fraction minted c. 30 years earlier: RIC VI ALEXANDRIA 46a with obv. legend IMP C DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG and rev. legend CONCORDIA MILITVM (IMP C DIOC on obv. and CONCORD on rev. still visible). Could be noted after ROME 266.
