NOT IN RIC
|
[CONFIRMATION]. Single specimens are cited in RIC (p. 132) and in Bastien Lyon (318-337) (p. 155, no. 107) but Bastien suggests that due to the style of the portrait his specimen may be regarded as an ancient imitation ("En raison du style du portrait un doute subsiste sur le caractère officiel de ce nummus"). Another specimen presented here makes this suggestion slightly less justified. However, an ancient imitation cannot be excluded.
