MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to LYONS 221 (Leu Numismatik web auction 8, lot 1539, 3.05 g, 19 mm) except for the third dot above X (p. 135). Bastien Lyon (318-337) (p. 168-169, no. 181) records this variety as a sub-type. However, in the present author's opinion this third dot is rather a centering dot, merely technical. Otherwise, coin could be listed as a minor variety of LYONS 221 or after LYONS 221.
