REVERSE	SARMATIA-DEVICTA [SARMATIA DEVICTA]; Victory advancing r., holding trophy on r. arm, branch in l. hand, spurning captive std. r. on ground. C in left field. PLG in exergue.
NOT IN RIC	UNLISTED MINTMARK. Specimen similar to LYONS 214 except for absence of crescent in m.m. (p. 135). Note, however, that crescent may be sometimes obliterated. Bruun mentions this variety in footnote 217 on p. 135: "In addition 2 shorter marks known: C/PLG in C, C/PLG• in Ox. It is quite possible that the first m.m. of our list was preceded by such short marks" (p. 135). Listed in Bastien Lyon (318-337) (p. 165, no. 170). Should be listed in RIC before LYONS 214.
