UNLISTED BUST TYPE [D2] AND LEGENDS. RIC lists for Constantine II only short obv. legend ["N C" instead of "NOB C"] and bust types C3 l. and D2 l. (p. 112). Bust type D2 and obv. legend with "NOB C" are attested for later issues with BEAT TRANQLITAS rev. legend [LONDON 286 and LONDON 282-283]. Good portrait style but note also error in rev. legend BEATA TRNQVILTAS, expected rather on imitative coin (but cf. footnote 284 on p. 115). Coin may be regarded as an ancient imitation. Not listed in Cloke-Toone. Should be listed in RIC before LONDON 236.
