PROVIDEN-TIAECAESS [PROVIDENTIAE CAESS]; camp gate, two turrets, no doors, star above, varying number of stone layers. S in left field. CONS• in exergue.

UNLISTED MINTMARK. Specimen similar to CONSTANTINOPLE 40 (3.50 g; 19 mm) except for dot in m.m. instead of star. See also footnote 38 on p. 575 and CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 575). Apparently a separate issue.
