UNLISTED ISSUE. There is a small evidence of two unlisted issues of Providentiae and Virtus series minted in Arles. Both use Greek letters for marking the officinae [A-Δ]. The first has ARLA-Δ in m.m., and the second has additionally letters S|F in fields. However, place of these issues in official coinage still remains controversial.

For Bruun's opinion see footnote 312 from p. 268: "The author prefers to regard these mint-marks, or this way of marking the fourth officina, as a peculiar slip of some mint official and not as indicative of an issue marking the officinae with Greek letters".

Listed in Ferrando (p. 202, no. 871). Should be listed in RIC after ARLES 317.
