CRISPVS-NOBCAES [CRISPVS NOB CAES]; heroic (nude) bust l., laur., spear pointing forward, shield on l. arm [G7 l.].

REVERSE

PROVIDEN-TIAECAESS [PROVIDENTIAE CAESS]; gateway with two turrets, star above, no doors, varying number of stone layers. T*AR in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - G7 l. Not attested for obv. legend 5c (p. 262). Heroic bust is extremely rare on bronze coins. RIC lists bust type G7 l. only for one Constantine's aes minted in Arles; cf. ARLES 35. Listed in Ferrando (p. 185, no. 793). Should be listed in RIC after ARLES 271.
