NOT IN RIC
|
UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. RIC lists for this issue only longer obv. legend: IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG. However, in footnote 144 on p. 248 Bruun mentions specimen from Vienna with "obv. IMP CONSTANTINVS AVG" and the same bust type - G5 l. Note that bust type G5 l. is attested for rev. with Sol stg. r. [ARLES 152], but with standard long obv. legend (erroneously?). Probably this type isted in Ferrando (p. 97, no. 325) but with wrong obv. legend: IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG. Should be listed in RIC after ARLES 146.
