REVERSE

IOVICONS-ERVATORIAVGG [IOVI CONSERVATORI AVGG]; Jupiter stg. l., chlamys across l. shoulder, leaning on sceptre, holding Victory on globe; to left captive. Є in right field. •SMANT in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to ANTIOCH 26 (officina Є not attested) except for the dot in m.m. (p. 680). Probably this type is descibed in footnote 26 on p. 680 as "with dot preceding rev. legend". Possibly an unlisted issue. Also, officina Є is not attested in RIC for ANTIOCH 26. Note, however, that this dot may be sometimes regarded as a part of captive's foot. Otherwise, coin should be listed before ANTIOCH 26.
