OBVERSE

IMPCONSTANTINVSPFAVG [IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG]; bust r., laur., cuir.

REVERSE

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED ISSUE. RIC lists similar unmarked issue but with smaller bust of Mars r., helmeted and cuirassed (no spear and shield) [TREVERI 877-885] (p. 227). General note from p. 161-162: "The theme of Mars and Sol appears even more emphatically on a very common double series, in Constantine's name alone, with reverses Martii Conservatori, bust of Mars, and Soli Invicto Comiti, bust of Sol: the portrait style is indubitably that of Trier. Examples of lover weight fall after Maximinus' death". See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 227.

Type listed in Cohen (vol. VII, p. 267, no. 331). Listed in Saint-Colombier-en-Sarzeau Hoard (p. 80, no. 1363). Should be listed in RIC after TREVERI 885.
