REVERSE

VENER-I-VICTRICI [VENERI VICTRICI]; Venus stg. facing, head l., r. holding up apple, l. raising drapery over l. shoulder. A in right field. SIS in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED MINTMARK OR ENGRAVER'S ERROR. Coin similar to SISCIA 211 except for absence of crescent in left field. It could be a clogged die or an engraver's error. Sutherland also considered such possibility in footnote 4 on p. 480: "Vienna has a coin of off. Δ without crescent in field to l.: probably an engraver's error rather than a transitional issue". Coin should be noted after SISCIA 211.
