REVERSE

GENIOPOPV-L-IROMANI [GENIO POPVLI ROMANI]; Genius stg. l., modius on head, naked but for chlamys over l. shoulder, r. holding patera (from which liquor flows), l. cornucopiae. Star in left field, Γ in right field. •SM•SD• in exergue.

UNLISTED OFFICINA - Γ. RIC lists officinae A, B and Δ (p. 500). The obverse legend is partially hard legible but seems clear on magnification under microscope. General note from p. 490: "The coins as a whole are scarce [...] All four officinae worked impartially for all three persons [Galerius Maximian, Maximinus, Galeria Valeria]. The weight suggests a date late in 307 or in 308 [...]".

Note that also an ancient cast counterfeit of this type exists.
