RIC VI, ROMA 151, CONSTANTINE, [CORRECTION]

OBVERSE

CONSTANT-INVSNOBC [CONSTANTINVS NOB C]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

PRINCIPI-IVVENTVT [PRINCIPI IVVENTVT]; prince stg. l., in military dress, r. holding ensign, l. leaning on sceptre. PR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

[CORRECTION]. RIC lists for this type only one rev. legend break: I-I but note that so far four different rev. legend breaks are attested: I-I, I-PI-I-V, I-PI-I and I-P-I, which could make in RIC four separate entries (cf. RIC VI TREVERI 802 and 807 or SISCIA 61 and SISCIA 62) (cf. TRIER 18-21 or CONSTANTINOPLE 93-94). However, RIC is not consistent in this matter (cf. ROMA 150 with four different rev. legend breaks listed under one number).

Listed in Depeyrot (p. 86, no. 14/12). Listed in Drost (p. 300, no. 23).
