UNLISTED ISSUE. Not attested in RIC. Listed in Depeyrot (p. 88, no. 17/3; this coin, with correct attribution but wrongly given rev. legend breaks: E-R instead of E-R-C). Should be listed in RIC before ROMA 282.
Note that numerous forgeries of this extremely rare type exist, mostly in silver (see example offered on Allegro; 3.02 g) but sometimes also in gold. In such case coin pretends to be an aureus (weight > 5 g), not solidus. See example sold on Bank Leu auction 28 (lot 563) in May 1981 for CHF 35,000; 5.39 g. Probably all forgeries have rev. legend break E-R.
