RIC VI, ROMA [after 165], CONSTANTINE, UNLISTED ISSUE [PRINCIPI IVVENTVT]

OBVERSE

CONSTANTINVSNOBCAES [CONSTANTINVS NOB CAES]; bust r., laur., dr. cuir.

REVERSE

PRINCIPI-IVVENTVT [PRINCIPI IVVENTVT]; prince stg. r. in military dress, r. holding transverse spear, l. globe.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED ISSUE. Type similar to ROMA 60a-61A (minted for Constantius and Galerius Maximian as Caesars) and ROMA 125 (minted for Severus as Caesar), but not attested for Constantine. Probably Æ medallion.

See also footnote 2 on p. 370: "The B.M. has an unmarked piece [this coin], of a style similar to that of Rome, with Constantinus Nob Caes, r., laur., dr., cuir., Principi-Iuventut, prince stg. r in military dress, r. holding transverse spear, l. globe; might be the half of an unreduced follis - it is certainly not a fraction on the reduced standard from 307".

Not listed in Drost. Should be listed in RIC after ROMA 165.
