CONSTANTIVSNOBC [CONSTANTIVS NOB C]; bust l., laur. helmet, cuir., sceptre over r. shoulder, studded shield on l. arm [MM var.].

REVERSE

GENIOPOP-VLIROMANI [GENIO POPVLI ROMANI]; Genius stg. l., modius on head, naked but for chlamys over l. shoulder, r. holding patera, l. cornucopiae. Altar in left field, B in right field. PLC in exergue.

BUST TYPE VARIETY. Specimen similar to LUGDUNUM 171a with bust type MM except for laureate helmet. Note that for this issue RIC does not distinguish plain helmet from laureate helmet or radiate helmet. However, this difference is mentioned in footnotes (cf. footnotes 5, 6 and 12 on p. 250 or footnote 3 on p. 251). Note also shield studded instead of plain (cf. footnote 11 on p. 252). Not listed in Bastien Lyon (294-316) and Bastien Lyon - suppléments I-II.
