REVERSE

SOLIINVIC-TOCOMITI [SOLI INVICTO COMITI]; Sol stg. l., chlamys draped over l. shoulder and hanging behind, r. raised, l. holding up globe. Star in right field. PLN in exergue.

REVERSE VARIETY. RIC describes Sol's chlamys as "draped over l. shoulder", not draped and hanging behind. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 137. Listed in Huvelin (no. 153). Listed in Cloke-Toone (7.08.010). Probably only this variety exists, so this could be regarded as correction.

NOTES

Weight 4.55 g; diameter 23 mm. Coin sold on Roma Numismatics eSale 63 (lot 992) in November 2019 for GBP 380.
