NOT IN RIC
|
REVERSE VARIETY. RIC describes Sol's chlamys as "draped over l. shoulder", not draped and hanging behind. See CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 137. Note also that LONDINIUM 238 with bust AA (helmet without laurel wreath) is in fact misattributed LONDINIUM 239 (see CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 137). Listed in Huvelin (no. 151). Listed in Cloke-Toone (7.08.008). Huvelin and Cloke-Toone describe bust as cuirassed and draped, but the drapery could be in fact balteus, shoulder belt used to suspend sword or to support shield.
