NOT IN RIC

[CORRECTION]. RIC cites example from the British Museum and describes bust as cuirassed and draped (bust type M, which actually does not exist). Also Huvelin gives the same description (see no. 34 on p. 35; "buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé"). However, Emperor's dress on BM specimen could be better described as elaborate cuirass or mantle. But note that sometimes this difference is ambiguous. See CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 134 for bust type M and CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 134 for bust types Q and R.

Cf. also LONDINIUM 158 with bust cuirassed (Mike R. Vosper Coins; 4.90 g, 22 mm) and LONDINIUM 160 with bust mantled (BM no. 1927,0616.190; 4.866 g). Listed in Cloke-Toone (7.03.011) as corrected LONDINIUM 159 with consular bust.
