OBVERSE LEGEND VARIETY. Specimen similar to LONDINIUM 35 (ANS 1984.146.1186, 9.03 g, 27 mm) except for ...CAE in obv. legend instead of ...CAES. Probably an engraver's error. Note, however, clumsy lettering and somehow crude style of portrait. Coin should be regarded as an ancient imitation and may be mentioned in RIC after LONDINIUM 35.
