UNLISTED ISSUE. Earlier attributed to Rome or Lugdunum. Cf. for type ROMA [before 1], MAXIMIAN HERCULIUS, UNLISTED ISSUE [VIRTVS AVGG] and Æ fraction (Lanz 100, lot 466, 1.50 g, 15 mm) attributed as a pre-reform quinarius minted at Lugdunum. Not listed in Depeyrot. Listed in Bastien Lyon - supplément II (p. 137, no. An 10α; attributed to "atelier continental").

According to Vincent Drost, this unique aureus can be attributed to the London mint based on its stylistic resemblance to the bronze coins minted there. It was probably given as a donativum after the conquest of Britain. See: Vincent Drost, "Les nummi sans marque de style lyonnais : «atelier continental» ou première émission de Lyon après la réforme de Dioclétien ?", Revue Numismatique 2014, p. 311-312. See another picture from Drost's article.

This attributions may be also disputable. For now, however, coin should be listed in RIC before LONDINIUM 1a.
