NOT IN RIC
|
UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. RIC lists only longer obv. legend with FELICISSIMO instead of FELICISSI (p. 318; see example of AQUILEIA 64a). Additionally, footnote 2 on p. 320 reads as follows: "Monti-Dattari in Boll. di num. (Milan), 1903, p. 56, record a variety with FELICISSI (sic), while Maur. (i, p. 292) gives FELICISS; Dattari (R.I.N. 1906, p. 484) points out that Maurice's pl. iv, 1 shows FELICISSIMO, and it is doubtful if any abbreviated form ever in fact appeared". Apparently, Sutherland was wrong. Listed in Paolucci & Zub (no. 23). Should be listed in RIC after AQUILEIA 64a.
