[CORRECTION]. Listed in RIC with note: "Obv. break not known" (p. 623). Sutherland apparently have not seen a single example of this type and cites it after Maurice who cites it (iii, 150) after Missong who points to the specimen from London (Z.f.N. 1880, p. 271); probably the same specimen from BM which is shown below. Listed in Depeyrot (p. 142, no. 21/1; cites specimen from BM; not illustrated).

NOTES

Aureus. Weight 5.30 g; diameter 18.8 mm. Coin sold on Gadoury auction 2022 (lot 95) in October 2022 for EUR 7,500; sold on Gadoury auction XIX (lot 1247) in October 2025 for EUR 7,000.
