RIC VI, ANTIOCHIA 14, CONSTANTIUS, [CORRECTION]

OBVERSE

CONSTANTI-VSNOBCAES [CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

HERCVLI-CONSCAES [HERCVLI CONS CAES]; Hercules stg. facing, head l., r. leaning on club, l. holding up apples and lion's skin. Dot in l. field. SMA [reversed sigma]* in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

[CORRECTION]. RIC suggests that dot in m.m. is placed in exergue, like for ANTIOCHIA 12 (cited and illustrated in RIC, and corrected here), Actually all specimens known to the present author have dot in left field. See also specimen from Sotheby auction (July 1909, lot 133) cited in RIC [= Naville listed below].

Note also misprint: obv. legend should be marked 3b, not 3a. See CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 614.

Listed in Depeyrot (p. 140, no. 13/2).
