CONSTANTI-NVSMAXAVG [CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG]; bust r., laur., dr., cuir. [B4].

REVERSE

GLOR-IAEXERC-ITVS [GLORIA EXERCITVS]; two soldiers, helmeted, stg. front, looking at each other; each holding spear and rests hand on shield; between them two standards. Wreath between standards. TRS in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - B4. Not attested for obv. legend 1 (p. 218). For similar type cf. TRIER 538. Note that wreath does not look like ordinary laurel wreath but is also distincly different from ordinary rossete-diadem on TRIER 549. For types of rosette-diadem see also footnotes 544 and 555. Coin should be listed after TRIER 549.

Weight 2.38 g; diameter 17 mm. Coin sold on eBay in September 2012 for GBP 5.76.
