RIC VII, TRIER [after 426], CRISPUS, UNLISTED BUST TYPE [IRREGULAR COIN]

  

OBVERSE

IVLCRISPVSNOBCAES [IVL CRISPVS NOB CAES]; bust r., laur., dr., cuir. with spear pointing forward, holding horse by bridle with l. hand.

REVERSE

BEATATRAN-QVILLITAS [BEATA TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX; above, three stars. PTR crescent in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED BUST TYPE. Not attested in RIC VII. Similar to G11 but cuirassed and draped and with spear pointing forward. Not listed in RMBT (but cf. p. 54, no. 163). Attribution uncertain (m.m. partially illegible). Probably an ancient imitation. Should be noted in RIC after TRIER 426.
