OBVERSE

CONSTANTINVSIVNNC [CONSTANTINVS IVN N C]; bust r., laur., dr., cuir. with spear pointing forward, globe in l. hand [G10].

REVERSE

BEATATRA-NQVILITAS [BEATA TRNOQVILITAS (sic!)]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX; above, three stars. PTR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND - 7b. Not attested for the second part of this issue [with VO/TIS/XX on rev.] (p. 192). The bust type G10 is also not attested. Note error in rev legend: TRANQVILITAS instead of TRANQVILLITAS. Listed in RMBT (p. 66, no. 34; this coin). Note that the reading of obv. legend is uncertain. RMBT gives ...IVN N C, but the present owner, i.e. the Berlin Museum, gives ...IVN NOB C. Both variants are not attested in RIC. Coin should be listed after TRIER 334.

NOTES

Weight 2.45 g; diameter 17 mm. Plate coin in RMBT. From the Münzkabinett of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Collection (reg. no. 18204537).
