ANEPIGRAPHIC (no legend); head r. with threefold pearl-diadem, looking upwards [E6].

REVERSE

GLORIACONS-TANTINIAVG [GLORIA CONSTANTINI AVG]; emperor in military dress, advancing r., trophy across l. shoulder, transverse spear in r. hand; to l. and r., seated captive. SMTS in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - E6. Not attested for obv. 1 (p. 520). Cf. THESSALONICA 163 with rosette-diadem. Coin should be listed after THESSALONICA 163.

NOTES

AV medallion of 1½ solidi. Weight 6.47 g; diameter 25 mm. Coin sold on CNG auction 85 (lot 1212) in September 2010 for $14,000.
