IOVICON-SERVATORI [IOVI CONSERVATORI]; Jupiter stg. l., chlamys across l. shoulder, holding Victory on globe, leaning on sceptre; at feet, eagle holding sceptre. X in right field. SIS in exergue.

REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similar to SISCIA 18 (Triton XVI, lot 1153, 5.21 g) except for eagle holding sceptre instead of eagle holding wreath. Note, however, that despite the description specimen shown on plate 12, no. 18 has eagle holding sceptre. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 425.

Aureus. Weight 5.41 g; diameter 20 mm. Coin sold on Roma Numismatics auction 2 (lot 764) in October 2011 for GBP 10,000.
