REVERSE

BEATATRAN-QVILLITAS [BEATA TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX in three lines; above, three stars. C in left field, R in right field. PLG in exergue.

[CORRECTION]. Bust type similar to I1/I2 but l. hand is not visible. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 89-90. Listed in Bastien Lyon (318-337) (p. 158, no. 124; bust marked I*8; unique specimen from Vienna cited in RIC). Note, however, that Bastien lists also another type - Bastien Lyon (318-337) (p. 158, no. 123; bust marked I*5) - which is in the present author's opinion virtually identical. Note also that this bust may be regarded as a variety of bust M1 (Victory on globe instead of globe only).
