BEATATRA-NQVILLITAS [BEATA TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX in three lines; above, three stars. C in left field, R in right field. PLG• in exergue.

MINTMARK VARIETY. Coin similar to LYONS 162 except for dot in m.m. (or in rev. legend). Note rev. legend break TRA-NQVILLITAS instead of TRAN-QVILLITAS and VO/TIS instead of VOT/IS. Note also that in footnote 153 on p. 132 Bruun mentions quite similar variant: "In L [London, British Museum] 3 specimens, 1 of which marked C|R/PLG•; rev. breaks TRA-NQVILLITAS, VOT/IS". Accidental errors or an ancient imitation?

Weight 3.01 g; diameter 19 mm. Coin sold on CGB auction in November 2009 for EUR 450.
