CRISPVS-NOBCAES [CRISPVS NOB CAES]; bust l., laur., cuir., holding horse by bridle with r. hand, mappa [actually pugio] in l. hand.

REVERSE

VICTORIAELA[ETPRINC]PERP [VICTORIAE LAET PRINC PERP]; two Victories facing one another, holding shield inscribed VOT/PR over altar of varying design. P two captives L in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE. Not attested in RIC VII, however, this type is similar to busts I1-I2 except for horse instead of Victory on globe. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, pp. 89-90. Coin should be listed after LYONS 86.

NOTES

Weight 3.52 g; diameter 19 mm. Coin sold on Compagnie Générale de Bourse auction in October 2006 for EUR 750.
