PROVIDEN-TIAECAESS [PROVIDENTIAE CAESS]; camp gate, two turrets, no doors, star above, varying number of stone layers. Dot in arch. PLON in exergue.

UNLISTED ISSUE. Specimen similar to LONDON 297 except for dot in arch (cf. footnotes 293 and 296 on p. 116 to Constantine's I and Constantine's II coins). Cloke-Toone treats dot in arch as a minor variant listed under the same number as a main type (10.02.005). However, in the present author's opinion this variant forms a separate issue or sub-issue. Coin should be listed after LONDON 300.
