OBVERSE

CONSTAN-TINOPOLIS [CONSTANTINOPOLIS]; bust l., laur. helmet, wearing imperial cloak, reversed spear.

REVERSE

Victory stg. l. on prow, holding long sceptre in r. hand and resting l. hand on shield. Wreath with pellet in l. field. Another pellet above wreath. SCONST in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similar to ARLES 380 except for additional pellet above wreath. Could be an engraver's error, but note that variety with additional pellets exists for this issue. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 274.

NOTES

Weight 2.33 g; diameter 18 mm. Coin sold on eBay in August 2015 for GBP 36; from VCoins (Victor's Imperial Coins).
