REVERSE

PRINCIPII-VVENTVTIS [PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS]; prince laur., in military dress, stg. r., cloak spread, transverse spear in r. hand, globe in l. hand. Star in right field. SMAN in exergue.

UNLISTED ISSUE. Specimen similar to ANTIOCH 44 (Hess Divo 324, lot 103, 4.46 g; RIC cites this example from the British Museum) except for the presence of star in right field. Therefore it belongs to the next group with star in m.m. [ANTIOCH 48-51]. Coin should be listed after ANTIOCH 50.
