NOT IN RIC

HYBRID. Rev. similar to rev. of aureus: ANTIOCH 33 (NAC 102, lot 577; 5.27 g). However, portrait style on obv. suggests mint of Arles or Rome (cf. ROMA 283; BM 1867,0101.887; 5.34 g). Possibly Æ core of ancient fake gold coin. Could be noted after ANTIOCH 33.

NOTES

Weight 2.61 g; diameter 16.5 mm. Coin sold on eBay in August for EUR 51.90.
