OBVERSE

DIVOCONSTANTIOPIO [DIVO CONSTANTIO PIO]; bust r., bare-headed, in imperial mantle (cuir. ?).

REVERSE

CONSECRATIO [CONSECRATIO]; lighted altar; on either side, eagle. PTR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED ISSUE. RIC lists commemorative issue for Constantius with similar rev. type, but with different bust type and rev. legend MEMORIA FELIX [TREVERI 789 and TREVERI 790]. The present specimen, minted probably in 306, could be listed before TREVERI 789, but perhaps belongs to the earlier group.

Weight 10.41 g; diameter 26 mm. Coin sold on CGB Monnaies 41 (lot 1122) in November 2009 for EUR 1,250.
