IMPMAXIMIANVSAVG [IMP MAXIMIANVS AVG]; bust l., laur., cuir., r. holding spear (or sceptre) over r. shoulder.

REVERSE

[GEN]IOPOPV-L-IPOMANI [GENIO POPVLI POMANI (sic!)]; Genius stg. l., modius on head, naked but for chlamys over l. shoulder, r. holding patera, l. cornucopiae. PT in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE AND OBVERSE LEGEND. Note crude style (falling chlamys looks like a snake) and lettering (POMANI). Mintmark used in Ticinum but obv. was probably copied from Lugdunum issue. Apparently an ancient imitation. Coin could be noted after TICINUM 29b.

NOTES

Weight 8.58 g; diameter 28 mm. Coin sold on eBay in April 2011 for USD 153.58.
