MAXIMINVS•FIL•AVGG [MAXIMINVS • FIL • AVGG]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

GENIOCA-ESARIS [GENIO CAESARIS]; Genius stg. l., modius on head (sometimes also radiate), naked but for chlamys over l. shoulder, r. holding patera (from which liquor flows), l. cornucopiae. Δ in right field. •SM•TS• in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to THESSALONICA 32a except for absence of star in left field. Note that star is sometimes very small. Probably an engraver's error or a clogged die.

NOTES

Weight 6.95 g; diameter 25 mm. Sold on CGB E-auction 162 (lot 98932) in May 2016 for EUR 150.
